...in 195 anniversary of campaign 1806-1807

However it remained several material traces for around 200 years there was not enough of both the initiative, forces and will to memorize this campaign. There were changing borders and state organizations, but still there remains the fact that in Poland is most of the places of this campaign (despite to the fact that main battle fields Preussich Eylau and Friedland are close to polish border in Russia (Kaliningradzkaja oblas't).
Initiative of the Institute of Studies over the Napoleonic Epoque (OSEN) goes to reconstruction flow of the events from the December's battle at Pułtusk up to the july`s treaty of peace. it concernes visiting places either forbidden or not known places, popularization of the knowledge of the napoleonic époque ant care about this monuments of north-east of Poland. Route intends to reconstruct the march of the Napoleon Bonaparte. Corpses were moving with wide front from west to east. After the short state in Poznań (in Wielkopolska) and in Warsaw he restored campaign at the right side of the Vistula river, moving constantly to the north and after the treaty of peace in Tylża got back by Królewiec and Drezno to Paris.
Route from Pułtusk to Tylża not only recalls the memories from 195 years ago. By now it is the web of contacts and cooperation, that was set by the Institute of the Studies over the Napoleonic Époque (OSEN) with local authorities, museums, tourist centers in the region of north Mazovia, Warmia, mazury and Kaliningradzkaja oblas`t. Idea of the Humanistic High School of Aleksandet Gieysztor it is live history, that helps to find place in contemporary Europe.
Let we point out our achievements, that has been done in the "Rout from Pułtusk to Tylża" during past two years:

* stable exhibition (described below ) and two table-monuments (in market and in castle of bishops in Pułtusk),
* table-monument in castle of Ostróda,
* table-monument in Kamieniec Suski (residence of Finckensteins)
* napoleonic saloon in Frombork,
* polish accents in Regional museum of Bagrationowsk/Eylau,
* table-monument in Prawdinsk/Friedland.




There are many marvelous plans. Bartoszyce district (that has the hills of battle at Eylau in its territory) inscribed napoleonic traces - thanks to the local governor Janusz Dąbrowski - in long lasting strategy of districts development. Very strong activity presents napoleonic group in Olsztyn, where Mr. Adolf Teresiak popularize the knowledge of the fights around Olsztyn, Barkweda, Gutkowo and Jonkowo. Mr Adam Obalewski, whose firm is the owner of Kamieniec, who reconstruct the atmosphere of époque around the ruins of palace, which stood with its interiors of "two marvelous months of napoleon and Maria Walewska" up to the 1945 (interiors are memorized in film with Greta Garbo, produced in 1937 accordingly to scene play of Wacław Gąsiorowski). Nowadays, besaide the ruins there is reconstructed park and beautiful woods...
At Morąg OSEN with cooperation of Napoleon Foundation restore in this year the monument of russian general, who laid down in fight with troops of Bernadotte in january 1807. Mr. Manfred Wolf intends to memorize in front of Manor house in Wojciechy the death of french general Guyot in june 1807. Mr. Dariusz Lis intends to organize the "Route of march of Grand Army" around Braniewo, Mr. Stanisław Skowronek has rich materials about the battle at Lidzbark. Municipal Office of the Ostróda by the person of Mr. Artur Munje from the Office of Promotion looks for the ideas to best memorizing of state of Napoleon in Cross-knigths castle - state that is by now memorized by two medals of Mint of Paris and two paintings.

It could be said that among planns in the following year there are pive historical reenacting shows:
* in December - arrival of Napoleon to Pułtusk,
* in February - reenacting of Eylau / Bagrationowsk,
* in April - parade of the lancers in Kamieniec Suski in anniversary of the signing by Napoleon decret of the organizing the emperors guard,
* in June - reenacting of Friedland / Prawdinsk,
* in august - return of lancers to Opinogóra and Ciechanów.

Ostróda prepares plans of tradition of ball in the anniversary of the Emperors birthday and Gdańsk intends to continue the show of the siege of stronghold...
Money, money... It is difficult to predict how and when it would be possible to realize all this plans. It is necessary to remark the interest and even enthusiasm in realization of this plans as well by the side of the local authorities and institutions as by the side of individual persons. We can not predict how it could be possible to predict this enthusiasm on the real deeds. May be visitors of this web-site they could enrich it by any initiative?
